Associate Designer

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Design team and other partners in technical and creative execution of sweaters and/or cut & sew styles.

• Responsible for writing proto fit comments, making sure all tech packs are accurate, and tracking samples.

• Responsible for trend research including market research, designing, sketching, spec’ing and fit in collaboration with design team

• Interprets concepts and fashion trends as they relate to market demands, business strategy, and relevance to brand

• Attend fittings

• Communicate daily with cross-functional partners, both internal and global

• Adhere to cross-functional calendar and attends meetings as required

• Handle other responsibilities or projects, as assigned

• Request Mock ups and development submits for swatches, print, embroidery and embellishment, and knit-downs

Qualifications/Experience: 

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in either sweater design or cut & sew

• Ability to create full size stitch layouts

• Ability to create Tech packs in PLM, including call-outs, technical direction, BOM and POM

• Excellent organizational, time management, communication and presentation skills.

• Self-directed, Team player, and must have the ability to multi-task

• Excellent sense of style and color

• Design school training

• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel and all other Microsoft Office Applications

• PLM or Blue Cherry experience is preferred
